Glacier
They call this place the Crown of the Continent for a reason. It’s one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever seen. Everything here feels enormous and grand, and from the first few minutes we entered the park on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, I knew I was going to be awed by the spectacular nature found in the park. While you can see so many incredible vistas from the park road, I highly recommend you take a hike on any of the park’s trails, as immersing yourself in this vast wilderness is a treat not to be missed. My favorite hikes were the Hidden Lake Trail, where we spotted tons of mountain goats, and the Grinnell Glacier Trail, a challenging, yet super rewarding hike that takes you past multiple bright-blue lakes and leads you to the bottom of one of the park’s more famous glaciers. We were lucky enough to spot a herd of bighorn sheep up here too! Sadly, the park’s glaciers are retreating and melting due to climate change, so the sooner you can get here the better to experience the magic Glacier has to offer.
