Joshua Tree
This park in the desert is a really special one, as the famous Joshua Trees are nearly everywhere you look. One of my favorite facts about the Joshua Tree is that it’s actually not a tree at all, but a yucca plant! You can see a lot in this park easily by driving along the park road and stopping at different lookouts and shorter trails to see the Joshua Trees up close. There are also super cool collections of massive rocks and boulders which add to the mystique of this atmospheric place. I especially loved the Hall of Horrors Trail we did, which was anything but horrific. Staying in the park until sunset is also a great idea, as the light changing and creating shadows with the Joshua Trees is something really unique to see!
